About the event
Hosted by the Mediterranean College of Sport (MCS) and supported by Atlas Insurance. This event will bring together leaders, practitioners, and advocates passionate about fostering gender equality and enhancing the development of female athletes in Malta. The Wales Malta Initiative is connecting the event with specialist speakers from University of Wales Trinity St David, Swansea University and University of Bath.

This half-day seminar will feature two insightful panel discussions:
"Participation, Representation, and Leadership in Female Sports"
Addressing dropouts in female sports participation post-14 years.
Media coverage of women in sports.
The role of female coaches and leaders in driving change.
"The Science of Supporting Young Female Athletes"
Exploring biological, developmental, and training implications.
Tackling challenges like Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), puberty, and growth.
The event will provide a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaborative problem-solving, with the goal of fostering actionable strategies to promote gender equality in sports across all levels.
